NAIDOC Week 2021 ran from the 4th to 11th of July. This year’s theme, ‘Heal Country’, was widely commemorated as our nation acknowledged the rich cultural, spiritual, and personal connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have to the land.

An extremely important aspect of reconciliation is how we educate our younger generations – especially children. As they grow, their knowledge of Indigenous culture will positively benefit future generations in years to come.

This year, our team encouraged Child Care Central Services to send us their NAIDOC Week activities. These activities ranged from paintings, storytelling, learning language, symbols and much more!

The team was positively overwhelmed with the high number of responses we received. Seeing the children have such a great time participating in NAIDOC activities was touching. We have created a short video to display some of the beautiful images we received.

Thank you to all of our Services who participated in NAIDOC Week 2021.
