Raft of smart new features demonstrates that Redbourne gets child care Services.

The Redbourne Group, developers of Child Care Central, has launched a new version of Child Care Central to coincide with new government child care subsidy arrangements to take effect on 2 July 2018.

Child Care Central was the first web-based child care management system when the online system was launched in 2007. The core system has been significantly updated, and in 2018 moved to a completely new modern technology platform.

“Aside from accommodating the new CCSS processing, this new platform enables us to provide a better user experience as well as the ability to provide many optional features, such as eSignatures, more flexible electronic payments, and on-line interactions with parents, just to name a few,” said Stephen Menhinnitt, Managing Director of the Redbourne Group, the parent company of Child Care Central.

Other key features include automatic invoicing and payment, enrolment confirmations (CWAs), variable booking schedules, reports, waitlists and immunisation records. It also has special security and easier log-ins for Multi-site Services.

Mr Menhinnitt said their development and testing of the CCSS features were rigorous. “We recognise that moving to a new system does cause anxiety for many in the child care sector and we wanted to do our all to allay their concerns and help them get up to speed with the software.”

“We are running a number of webinars throughout May, June and July and have boosted our Support desk to help with this transition..”

From a CCSS software point of view LDC & OSHC Services can rely on Child Care Central to accurately record and manage transactions, he said. “Statements, invoices, payments and electronic signatures are designed to provide security of transactions. On top of this we log submissions of all uploads to the governments CCSS system for our clients peace of mind.”

The subscription-based software is designed for Long Day Care, Outside School Hours Care and Non-CCSS Centres, with monthly and annual payment plans to suit. As well as the core product, Child Care Central also offers a number of optional features such as an extended Parental Portal, Program and Practices and Quality.

More options / features will become available in the coming months.
